Have you ever felt squeezed in certain situations or in making a choice?

I had that happen just recently when I called for technical help on my site and noticed brakes screeching on the inside.

I felt that tightening in my chest when I asked a question on a specific problem I was having on my site and they weren’t able to help. Instead, I was referred to another area that wanted me to sign up for a month of technical support.

I was as polite as I could be in declining their offer and hung up after ‘mildly’ expressing my disappointment. I felt a difference this time. Before, in techy issues I would panic and fret knowing only enough to get me in trouble. This time, I felt a calm, though noticed the squeeze but didn’t respond to it. I decided to sit on it and check out some things on the internet and revisit it again the next day.

I wrote a few years back on a Dr. Wayne Dyer story where he talks about squeezing oranges and asked what comes out when you squeeze an orange. I guess I noticed it this time – the squeeze and the feeling that came out. But, I was able, in noticing, catch it and respond differently. Maybe, I am learning and changing a little here and there. Good for me to take stock. I’m not there, yet, but I’m better than before.

As a result, what unfolded is a few days later a fellow blogger posted an article that related to my problem and I was able to fix it. I love when answers come much easier when I get out of the way.

Yesterday, I was reminded of an analogy Dr. Wayne Dyer spoke of awhile back, when he asked (to paraphrase), “What comes out when you squeeze an orange?” Well, the obvious answer would be orange juice. But, he took it further in asking to take a personal look at ourselves and what goes on in our lives.

What comes out when we’re being squeezed? I think this is what I got hit with yesterday ― the stuff that’s held onto for so long in people’s hearts. It had to come out.

The story of the orange came to me after a series of phone calls. I was excited to chat, as I normally don’t talk on the phone that much ― at least, not this many calls, one right after the other. The energy built and momentum from one call to the next and I didn’t notice it at first.  Continue reading Digiprove sealCopyright secured by Digiprove © 2013 Pat Ruppel
