Ah, it’s December and officially the time when we turn our attention to giving and the holy magic of love. Once again, in the spirit of Christmas, I’m honored to be Susan’s guest over at “Finding Our Way Now” with my final contribution of this month’s story.
I hope it will warm your heart and tickle your soul as I remembered a childhood gift of long ago and a special Christmas. Enjoy!

Greatest Gift of All
In the U.S., we’re in the heart of the holiday season having just enjoyed the festivities of Thanksgiving. Now, it will soon be Christmas. The hustle and bustle is beginning as families around the world prepare to celebrate their special traditions.
Make no bones about it, somewhere in the middle of it all, no matter the culture, there’s bound to be a gift or two.
That got me thinking about gifts and the ones I’ve received down through the years. As hubby and I were talking about it, I tried to remember the gifts I received and only a couple came to mind from long ago. (read more)

For me the greatest gift of all is life……………followed by family
Hi Joanne — I like that. Life — indeed, it is the greatest gift of all. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Loved this memory of a childhood Christmas! Your writing conjures up delightful images. Merry Christmas Pat, and God bless you!
Thank you, Susan. I’m glad you enjoyed it and it helped you remember some good times of your own. Childhood is such a magical time and Christmas reminds us of that pure love and innocence. Wishing you a Merry Christmas, too, and hope it’s beautiful this time of year in your new place out in the country. 🙂
Beautiful post Pat. I’ve left a message over on Susan’s site. Have a wonderful Christmas my friend, filled with every blessing, peace and joy 🙂 <3
Thank you, Sherri. I saw it and warmed my heart that it brought back some magical memories of your own. It’s the Christmas season and wishing you a happy and joyful time celebrating the whole month through. God bless you and sending jolly hugs across the pond. 🙂
Ahh…thank you Pat and jolly hugs right back to you 🙂
You’re always welcome, Sherri. I’m happy to share and spread the love. 🙂
Pat, I DID view the video of Vietnam & it was wonderful!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!! But I find no way to delete it from my website. However, clicking on it, it says “not available” now!!!! OK for you I hope! Phil
Thanks, Philip, at least I tried and glad to hear you got to view it on my comment in your post “More Vietnam, No. 2: Turkey Reagan” before it was taken down.
Got excited to share it — and sorry to see it was deleted. It was a good video. 🙂
Wow, I’m glad you got to see it, Philip, before it was taken down. It was a good video – loved it and sorry to see it was gone.
I originally thought it was my fault it was deleted because I shared it. But now, I think it was removed from the YouTube owner of the video as I never got any notifications. (Just wanted to clarify.)
