I love this time of year ― Fall. It’s coming fast for us in the States. It’s just around the corner, though we’re still reaching 90’s during the day. Soon, snow will be flying and we’ll be shifting our activities and mindsets on keeping warm rather than keeping cool. It’s also football season ― another clue that summer is slipping away. No longer will we be shedding our clothes for the heat but now we’ll be donning that sweater or heavy jacket. Continue reading →

“Happy, Happy, Happy!” What makes you happy in a given day? I suppose there can be as many answers for that question, as there are people, in all forms and feelings.

Life can be heavy at times, but it’s the light, fun, happy times we remember the most ― the people, places and events that warm our hearts and bring smiles to our faces. “I Am The Greatest!” ― Through the Eyes of a Child

I was on my way to an eye appointment this afternoon and heard this on the radio. “I am the greatest!” the little boy said. Sometimes, it takes the pure innocence of a child to teach us the greatest lessons.

There is no arrogance or superiority in those words, when viewed through the eyes of a child. It made me wonder about greatness. What is greatness, anyway? How does it come about? What makes it grow? It seems like I have more questions than answers only because I’ve never truly thought about it before and, when this song came on, it struck me. Continue reading →
